Last week Leona caught up with Plan B and Radio 1 DJ, Trevor Nelson, to launch the BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra Academy.

Leona is thrilled to be an ambassador for the Academy, which offers Hackney teenagers the chance to try out fashion, radio, film and music through a series of masterclasses, as well as providing practical advice on everything from CVs to interviews.

The Academy is running between June 1st-22nd in the run-up to the Hackney Weekend and you can get involved by emailing takeiton@bbc.co.uk.
