FIRST OFFICIAL LABYRINTH TOUR FAN REVIEW: Sheffield

Here’s just a few extracts from one of our favourite reviews – our thanks to emloveleona (contains spoilers)…
“Our princess was phenomenal on the opening night in Sheffield!
“Tears came to my eyes when I first saw her on stage as there is such a build up with footage on screens, dancers, atmospheric mist etc. I couldn’t contain myself, I was so ecstatic. The show was so exciting, mysteriously and interestingly lit throughout and the theme was perfect; it was all such a magical experience.
“I loved the covers she did, not songs you would expect (especially the T-Rex one and Take That - Magic) but they were brilliant and she pulled them off so well! Her performance of ‘First Time Ever I saw Your Face’ truly blew me away and I felt shivers up my spine the whole song, I could hardly breathe. Miss Leona took us all through an amazing journey, she went off stage after singing ‘Run’ and bowing with the dancers and congratulating the band but came back on to sing ‘Bleeding Love’ which was again tremendous, I remember her shouting ‘Its snowing Sheffield’ as white confetti fell from the top of the stage.
“I hope you all enjoy Leona as much as I did, you’re all in for such a treat!”

Leona dazzles on opening night of The Labyrinth!
Written by admin on June 1, 2010 – 3:32 pm -Congrats to Leona who over the bank holiday weekend kicked-off her first official UK tour!
Beginning on Friday night with an unforgettable show at Sheffield’s Arena, Leona then repeated the spectacle last night for fans at Liverpool’s Echo Arena.
While we don’t want to spoil it for those of you who have yet to see the show, we can say that amidst a fantasy kingdom stage-set inspired by her most treasured film The Labyrinth, Leona owned the stage entirely! Captivating fans in a series of ethical costumes created specially for her by top fashion icon Antonio Beradi, Leona belted out her best-loved hits PLUS a few genius surprises for good measure.
