From somewhere over the rainbow you walked into our lives,
You were shy and humble yet you took us by surprise.
As you sang your words, we had to stop and see,
You sang like an angel, in total harmony.

We watched your weekly journey; you grew before our eyes,
Your passion and emotion, began to touch our lives.
You grew from modesty into a woman, who believed,
Like a dream that had come alive and finally freed.

Now you live your life, where others want to be,
And everyday you remind us, of all the possibilities.
You taught us to follow our hearts, so long as we believe,
Dreams that lie deep within can always be achieved.

I’m a huge Tyra fan and I was lucky enough to be on
her show for my last album. I hope I get to visit the show again for my new

Beyonce
I went to see Beyonce perform in LA recently and was blown away. She is such an amazing performer, very inspiring!

Universal Studios
I love going here, it’s such a fun day out with a
group of friends or family. I have good memories from visiting Universal.

UK

The soon-to-be 2012 Olympics
I got to perform at the Olympics in Beijing
and it was incredible. I can’t wait for that energy to come to the UK!

Green countryside
I love being in the countryside, especially when I
can ride horses! I find it so peaceful and relaxing.

Cadbury’s chocolate!
What girl doesn’t love chocolate and you can’t beat Cadburys!

British pop music
We have some incredible music coming out of the UK right now. I always make sure, even when I’m travelling, to keep up to date with what’s new back home!

Baked beans
I am a huge fan of baked beans and when I’m away from the UK, I’ll always take some with me!!!

It’s just been confirmed that Leona will headline at this year’s VH1 Divas concert in New York.

The show, which raises money for Save the Music Foundation, will also feature music from other top performers including Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus and fellow Brit star, Adele.

VH1 spokesman Lee Rolontz says, “These women are among the best entertainers in the world and will continue to thrill music fans for a long time to come.”

Leona is thrilled to be joining a long list of top stars who have performed on previous shows including Mariah Carey, Tina Turner, Cher and Diana Ross.

VH1 Divas will be televised live on VH1 in the US on 17 September.
